TERMS OF USE
Use the testnet carefully.
1. Scope
These terms apply to the Moneta public website, documentation, source snapshots, development SDK, desktop applications, network endpoints and testnet balances (collectively, the “Materials”). “Moneta,” “we” and “operator” refer to the project operator as identified in the final published legal notice. The current site does not provide custody, exchange, brokerage, payment, lending, investment or financial-advisory services.
2. Eligibility and responsibility
Use the Materials only if you may legally do so where you are located. You are responsible for checking age, sanctions, export-control, tax, licensing, virtual-asset and other local requirements. Do not use the testnet if applicable law or a binding restriction prohibits you from doing so.
3. Testnet-only permission
Subject to these terms, you may inspect, test and modify the open-source Materials under the license included with the relevant source distribution. Testnet balances, rewards, names and network state are experimental data. They may be reset, rejected, reorged, lost or removed without notice and have no guaranteed monetary or legal value.
4. Prohibited conduct
You may not use the Materials to violate law, evade sanctions, launder funds, defraud, steal credentials, deploy malware, attack infrastructure, disrupt peers, infringe rights, impersonate the project, mislead people about value or endorsement, or operate a service that creates obligations for the operator without written authorization. See the acceptable-use policy.
5. No warranty; no reliance
The Materials are provided for testing and review on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. The operator does not promise that code is secure, correct, uninterrupted, compatible, profitable, private, decentralized, censorship-resistant, post-quantum safe or fit for a particular purpose. A passing test or checksum is not an audit.
6. Keys and irreversible actions
You control your own devices, credentials and wallet recovery material. Back up and protect them offline. Never share a recovery phrase or private key with the operator or community. Transactions and local actions may be irreversible; the operator cannot restore lost secrets or balances.
7. Changes and suspension
The operator may change, pause or retire the website, endpoints, software, rules or testnet at any time. Updated pages take effect when published. The operator may restrict access where needed to protect people, infrastructure or legal obligations.
8. Liability and local law
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for indirect, consequential, special or loss-of-data damages arising from use of the Materials. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. The governing law, venue, operator identity and notice address must be inserted by counsel before a commercial release.
9. Contact and notices
For ordinary support, use the Moneta Discord. Do not send confidential legal notices, identity documents, passwords or keys through public chat. A dedicated legal-notice address and response process should be added before public commercial operation.
